How Craple Shipping Works

We ship our handcrafted products from Roorkee, India to many countries around the world.
This page explains, in very simple language, how our shipping system works from our workshop to your home.
If you want to read our full legal policy, please see our Shipping Policy (recommended for detailed rules).
1. From Your Order to Your Door – Full Process
Here is how your order moves step by step:
Step 1 – Order Received & Address Check (Handling Time: Up to 2 Days)
- As soon as you place an order, our team starts working on it.
- We verify your delivery address and order details.
- This happens during our handling time of up to 2 business days.
Step 2 – Processing Your Product
- We check if your product is:
- Ready to dispatch, or
- Made-to-order (needs fresh making).
- Based on this, we prepare your product for shipment.
Step 3 – Quality Check (QC)
Before packing, every item goes through a quality check. We check:
- Finish and polish
- Function (timer, compass, magnifier, etc.)
- Any defects or damage
Only products that pass QC move to the packing stage.
Step 4 – Secure Packaging
We take packaging very seriously, especially for delicate and fragile items.
- Fragile items → extra protection, bubble wrap, layers and inner box.
- Other items → safe standard packing.
- Outer box → strong enough for international travel.
Our goal is simple: your product should reach you safely without damage.
Step 5 – Handover to Shipping Partner (Roorkee to Airport)
- After packing, we generate the shipping label.
- We hand over the parcel to our pickup partner.
- From Roorkee to the international airport usually takes 24–48 hours.
- At the airport, export processing and security checks are completed.
- Then your parcel is sent to your destination country.
Step 6 – International Transit
Once your parcel leaves India, tracking will show statuses like:
- “In transit”
- “Departed from origin”
- “On the way to destination country”
This means your parcel is travelling internationally, often via one or more connecting airports.
Step 7 – Customs in Your Country
When the parcel reaches your country, it goes to customs.
Important points:
- Every country has its own customs rules and speed.
- Usually, parcels clear in 1–2 days, based on our experience.
- Sometimes customs may hold a parcel longer for inspections.
- Customs authorities may apply duties, taxes, or fees (varies by country and order value).
For full details, please refer to our Tariffs & Duties Policy and Shipping Policy.
Step 8 – Local Courier & Final Delivery
After customs clearance, your parcel is handed over to a local delivery service. For example:
- USA: USPS, UniUni
- UK: Royal Mail
- Canada: Canada Post
- Australia: Australia Post
- Europe & others: DHL, FedEx, DPD, GLS or similar partners
This local courier then delivers the parcel to your home, office, or other address you provided.
2. Standard vs Premium (Express) Shipping
We mainly offer Standard Shipping and, on request, Premium/Express Shipping.
Standard Shipping
- Free standard shipping to selected countries (like USA, UK, Germany, France, etc.).
- We choose the most reliable carrier for your address.
- Delivery time depends on flights, customs, and local courier.
Premium / Express Shipping (For Example: FedEx)
- Available on request (extra cost).
- Same process, but:
- Transit is faster.
- Usually handled fully by one premium courier (for example, FedEx) from Roorkee to your door.
- Ideal if you need the product urgently.
3. Why Delivery Times Are Different for Each Country
Not all countries receive parcels at the same speed. Here is why:
- More direct flights = faster delivery
Countries like USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, and Austria have more flights from India, so parcels reach faster. - Fewer or indirect flights = slower delivery
Some countries may require connecting routes or fewer flights, so delivery can take longer. - Customs time is different in each country
Some customs departments are very fast, some take extra time. - Local courier speed & local holidays
Public holidays, weather, strikes or busy seasons (like Christmas / New Year) can also impact final delivery.
4. Country-wise Estimated Delivery Time (Standard Shipping)
These are estimated business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays in India and destination country).
Actual delivery time may vary.
Country Delivery Time Table
| Destination Country | Approx. Delivery Time (Business Days) |
|---|---|
| USA | 7–10 days |
| United Kingdom (UK) | 7–10 days |
| France | 7–10 days |
| Germany | 7–10 days |
| Italy | 7–10 days |
| Netherlands | 7–10 days |
| Austria | 7–10 days |
| Canada | 8–12 days |
| Australia | 8–12 days |
| Poland | 11–16 days |
| Spain | 14–19 days |

6. Simple FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)
Q1. My tracking shows “In Transit” for many days. Is it normal?
Yes, it can be normal. Sometimes parcels stay in transit while moving between airports or while waiting for customs. If it remains unchanged for a very long time, you can contact us and we will check with the carrier.
Q2. Why is delivery to some countries slower than others?
– Countries with more direct flights from India usually get faster deliveries (7–10 days).
– Countries with fewer flights or more connections can take longer (up to 18–19 days).
Q3. What if my parcel is marked “Delivered” but I did not receive it?
Please first:
– Check with neighbors or building security.
– Check outside areas like porch, gate, reception or mailroom.
– If you still cannot find it, contact us. We will speak to the courier and request Proof of Delivery.

Please:
1. Take clear photos or a short video of:

– These charges are decided by your country’s customs office, not by Craple.
– In most cases, the buyer is responsible for these charges.
For more information, please read our Tariffs & Duties Policy and Shipping Policy.
Q6. What happens if I refuse to pay customs charges?
