Effective August 29, 2025, the United States government has removed the de minimis exemption. This means that all physical goods imported into the USA (regardless of value) may now be subject to tariffs, customs duties, or import taxes.
We want to ensure transparency and a smooth shopping experience for our customers. Below, we’ve explained how these changes may affect your order.
1. What does this mean for you as a buyer?
- Earlier, US buyers did not have to pay tariffs on orders under $800.
- Now, every order shipped to the US may include import duties or tariffs.
- These charges are set by the US Customs Authority, not by Craple.
2. Our Shipping Options
We are actively working with carriers to provide two types of shipping options:
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)
- All duties, tariffs, and taxes are paid in advance by Craple.
- The total price you see on the product page includes these costs.
- No extra payment is required at the time of delivery.
- You will see “DDP” clearly mentioned on the product listing if this option applies.
- Since we pre-pay the duties, product prices may be slightly higher.
DDU / DAP (Delivered Duty Unpaid / Delivered At Place)
- Duties, tariffs, and taxes are not included in the product price.
- The buyer is responsible for paying these charges directly to the shipping carrier or US Customs upon delivery.
- You will see “DDU” clearly mentioned on the product listing if this option applies.
Useful Resources
3. How will I know which option applies to my order?
- Each product page on Craple.com will clearly display whether the shipping option is Price includes all tariffs/duties or Buyer responsible for tariffs/duties.
- If it is DDP, the total price you see already covers all tariffs.
- If it is DDU, you may be contacted by the carrier to pay import charges before receiving your package.
4. Important Notes for US Customers
- Tariffs and import duties are government-imposed and vary by product type and value.
- Craple has no control over these rates.
- If your order is shipped via DDU and you refuse to pay the required customs charges, the parcel may be returned or destroyed. In such cases, Craple will not be responsible for refunds.
5. Our Commitment
We are constantly monitoring changes in global trade regulations. Our goal is to:
- Offer clear and transparent pricing.
- Provide shipping options that suit our customers’ preferences.
- Ensure a smooth and stress-free delivery experience.
FAQs – Tariffs & Duties
No. Tariffs apply only to physical goods. Digital downloads are not subject to tariffs.
You will be responsible for paying the tariffs, duties, and import fees directly to the carrier or customs before your package is released.
Your parcel may be held, returned, or destroyed by customs. In such cases, Craple will not be responsible for refunds.
Under DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), all duties and tariffs are prepaid by Craple, and you will not be charged anything extra upon delivery. Under DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid), the buyer is responsible for paying duties and tariffs upon delivery.
Each product listing on Craple.com will clearly state whether it is shipped with DDP or DDU. If DDP applies, the price shown already includes duties and tariffs. If DDU applies, you may need to pay these charges separately upon delivery.
